ScoutX and Boat Trader
Plenty of powersports stores carry boats and personal watercraft alongside the bikes and side-by-sides. Those units do not need a second system — Scout publishes them to Boat Trader as XML.
How it works
- Served from a URL on your own domain and pulled by Boat Trader on its schedule, so there is no push window to miss and no credentials to rotate.
- Units are classified as power or sail from their category, and boat-specific fields travel with them — hull type, engine type, fuel type, horsepower and the rest.
- Only marine units go in the feed. The filter runs before the file is built, so a side-by-side cannot leak into a boat listing.
- This feed sends your sale price. Base-price display is supported through the condition-level override, which substitutes the price before the file is built; the more granular make-and-model pricing rules do not apply to this partner.
- Access is gated on the feed’s status and go-live date, so a feed being prepared is not reachable early.
