The season does not wait for a support queue
Ask a powersports dealer what went wrong with their last website vendor and the answer is rarely the invoice or the design. It is that riding season opens on a date nobody controls, the promo has to be up before it does, and the request to put it up sat in a queue until the weekend was over.
What your staff can do unaided
Promotions, banners, landing pages, page content, photography, staff profiles and store hours are all drag-and-drop, previewed before anything goes live, from the week you launch — and scoped per store and per franchise, so a manager touches their own pages and nobody else’s.
The bar we set ourselves is a whole weekend campaign: written, priced, put in front of the right franchise and published, by one manager, on a Thursday, without a single email leaving the building.
A named person for the rest
Anything the editor deliberately does not expose — how the site is structured, what it is integrated with, where a URL points, what a feed sends — belongs to a named rep who already knows which lines you carry and what your OEM programs require of you. Those land the same day.
Neither half works without the other, and that is the whole design. Hand a dealer a self-serve tool and nobody to call, and it collapses at the first request the tool cannot serve. Hand them a vendor and no tool, and it collapses every time something has to be live before the weekend.

Detail
Dealer-editable site — questions
Can our staff break something?+
Nothing publishes without being previewed first, and anything published can be rolled back. The editor also only offers the moves your design system allows — it does not hand anyone raw layout to rearrange — so the worst realistic outcome is a page that has to be reverted.
Can we scope access by store?+
Yes. Permissions are per user and can be limited to a location.
What still needs the vendor?+
Four things, all through your rep and all same-day: site structure, anything integrated, redirects, and the inventory feeds themselves.
